Public affairs and legislative affairs:this group engages in communications with the media, policy makers, and the public on behalf of meat institute member companies. This department also acts as the meat and poultry industry's representative on capitol hill and manages the meat institute political action committee (pac).
Program 3
Protein pact:protein pact unites the animal protein value chain through a commitment to data driven transparency with a goal of earning greater consumer trust in animal protein. The meat institute leads this effort as a platform to drive industry continuous improvement through data collection, education and serving as a supply chain connector. The meat institute and its members have taken part in domestic and international events to emphasize animal agriculture's importance for health people, heathy animals, and a healthy climate.
