Broad based information and referral services are provided, as well as coordinationof efforts to meet special needs such as plant closing, emergency needs support, unemployment, re-employment, retraining, etc.

$5.4MCommunity capacity buildings/collaborations: ongoing participation in coalitions, collaborative efforts, and information is exchanged at the local, state, and national level. This program includes regular communications with each staffed united way and other service providers statewide and supports development of a nework of resources for current and future access. Over 200 people from more than 35 united ways participated in member capacity and more than 1000 individuals and 500 organizations participated in after school partnership.
