Regulatory: A growing part of the Association's advocacy activities relate to administrative and regulatory initiatives by various federal agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers fo Medicare and Medicaid Services. These agencies provide funding and oversight to the association's membership. As part of the Association's advocacy work, it is necessary to closely monitor and interact with these federal agencies to ensure that the membership's interests are well represented. In recent years, the number of regulations and other administrative activities pursued by federal agencies has grown exponentially, and that is why the Association has put more emphasis on this area of advocacy.
