National Association of Housing

Legislation and Program Development - The Association educated and informed its members with respect to congressional activities having a direct bearing on housing and community development program legislation. The Association connected with the principal spokespersons on Capitol Hill and were responsible for communicating with members of Congress and their staff regarding the Association's positions, concerns, and interests.

Publications - NAHRO keeps its members informed via digital channels, including the monthly NAHRO Monitor, the bi-annual Journal of Housing and Community Development, weekly Direct News emails, The NAHRO Blog, other seasonal publications, and our social media channels.NAHRO additionally publishes an annual Awards of Merit Catalog, Buyers Guide and "What Home Means to Me" Calendar.

Membership - For over 90 years, the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials has represented the needs and interests of individuals and organizations working in the housing and community development field. NAHRO fights to secure needed housing and community development resources, represents its members at HUD and on the Hill, and provides its members with the information, analysis and training they need to provide affordable housing in sustainable communities.

RSO Advantage - NAHRO RSO Advantage helps Regional Councils enhance their services, improve their visibility, and strengthen their relationship with the National NAHRO organization.

Grants and Scholarships - NAHRO members and the students who live in their housing are eligible for a wide range of honors, including agency-wide and individual awards, the "What Home Means to Me" poster contest, and two scholarship programs for college-bound youth.
