Transforming the governance of minerals:in 2024, nrgi advanced the governance of transition minerals by supporting equitable, transparent, and sustainable value chains. As one of two civil society members of the un panel on critical energy transition minerals, nrgi shaped global standards and justice-focused recommendations. It supported reforms in countries including chile, colombia, ghana and indonesia, emphasizing anticorruption, traceability, and value addition. Nrgi convened global dialogues and partnered with the iea and oecd to improve oversight of state-state mineral deals, reinforcing its role as a leader in transition mineral governance

Transforming the governance of fossil fuels: nrgi supported resource governance in fossil fuel-producing countries through dialogue, research, and policy engagement. In 2024, it worked across colombia, mexico, peru, tunisia, senegal, uganda, and nigeria to advance revenue transparency, economic diversification, and energy governance. Key efforts included research on pemex in mexico, indigenous-led dialogue in peru, and anticorruption work in nigeria. Nrgi also supported countries in strengthening emission disclosure and transparency, building a foundation for more accountable and sustainable transitions.
