The mission of maharat for development is advancing human rights in developing countries, promoting freedom of expression including freedom of belief and the free flow of information, ensuring quality education in developing countries, promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies that protect diversity, leading peace building efforts in conflict prevention, social cohesion and countering violent extremism, strengthening freedom of information essential for accountability, transparency, good governance and the rule of law, advancing human rights in developing countries, promoting gender equality, advancing democratic values in developing countries, especially those in transition, ensuring the right to privacy, data protection and data security, enhancing the voice of developing countries in internet governance and advancing multi-stakeholderism and promoting a safe environment.
