$209KRESEARCH & TRAINING: The purpose and goals of this program are as follows. 1) To develop educational materials and programs to teach recirculating farming. 2) Build a model farm as a training center 3) Host farmer training and workshops. 4) Support research into alternative natural feed sources for farmed fish to replace the use of wild fish for protein.

$29KADVOCACY: The purpose and goals of this program are as follows. 1) Creating an awareness for need for federal funding and other support for research and development of recirculating farms. 2) Promoting recirculating farms as an alternative to ocean fish farming. 3) Establishing clear standards for permitting, monitoring, labeling and operation of recirculating farms. 4) Supporting access to healthy fresh food for low income and underserved communities and children especially in school food programs.
