Immigration - through community centered advocacy, searac works to advance the rights of southeast asians to reunite with their families and to remain together in the united states. Searac's immigration work focuses on dismantling the deportation pipeline for southeast asian americans, returning individuals previously deported, preserving our family-based immigration system, and reducing barriers to naturalization, particularly for those who have had past contact with the criminal legal system. We're creating policy changes to restore humanity and flexibility to our nation's immigration laws that continue to perpetrate violence against our communities.
