This leads to long-term, serious health issues that affect their ability to work, go to school, or live independently. $484,500 was invested in 5 programs, providing care to 11,973 patients.Mental Health SupportMental health challenges are common, but when they evolve into ongoing conditions, they can significantly impair an individual's daily functioning. Early intervention and access to mental health services can prevent the escalation of these issues into more severe problems. $447,500 was invested in 11 programs, serving 16,078 children and adults.Substance Abuse Prevention and TreatmentSubstance abuse not only risks the health of individuals but can also lead to job loss, family breakdowns, and dangerous behaviors. Evidence shows that those who engage in treatment and recovery programs often stop using drugs, reduce criminal behavior, and improve their overall quality of life. $385,000 was invested in 2 programs, helping 555 children and adults. Support for Older Adults and CaregiversSeniors today have different needs and expectations than previous generations. They require programs that allow them to live independently while ensuring financial stability. Caregivers, too, need support to provide a stable environment for their loved ones. $135,400 was invested in 4 programs, benefiting 1,692 seniors and caregivers.Services for People with Disabilities and Special NeedsWhen individuals with disabilities reach adulthood, they often "age out" of the services that helped them maintain independence.
