Advocacy - to win concrete policy changes that positively impact the lives of young people in the u.s., including those from immigrant and working class communities.

Narrative change - the program aims to change the public narrative about immigrants, refugees, and immigration. The program seeks to build the skills and capacity of leaders to develop and implement narrative strategies to portray the positive contributions of working class communities, including those from immigrant families.

Nonpartisan civic engagement - aims to educate young people in ways to take an active role in their communities so their voices are heard.

Services and training - aims to provide educational trainings to young people, including those from immigrant families in building communities, advocacy, and healing. Uwdn also provides assistance to immigrant youth to pay for their daca renewal applications.

Other programs - the youth leadership development aims to develop young people, including those from immigrant communities, in the areas of organizing, public advocacy, education, communications and digital skills. Uwdn encourages these youth to take on leadership roles in their communities. Capacity building provides support to local efforts in the areas of organizing, advocacy, communications, fundraising, and operations.
