Ajapo's mission is to provide a continuum of care which empowers refugees and immigrants to become self-sufficient and integrated into the greater pittsburgh community in allegheny county. Ajapo is a refugee resettlement agency providing reception and placemant services for refugees from all over the world through its affiliation to the ethiopian community development council (ecdc).
Programs
3 programs
Family cohesion & empowerment (fcep) fcep is a direct service program tailored to empower refugees and immigrant families as they integrate into our pittsburgh communities. Fcep program provides families and individuals with coping skills, service coordination and intensive case management.
Employment and social services - the employment services and match grant programs provide refugees with the opportunities for employment trainings, job placements and upgrades based on their qualifications, job skills and capabilities.
Ajapo's employment services provide immigrants with funding from grants to assist them by connecting refugees to employers in the greater pittsburgh area. Ajapo also provides immigration services to clients.
