Research/academic grant projects for the period july 1, 2023 through june 30, 2024 included state, federal and private non-profit research awards for the following projects: (i) comparative effectiveness of community health workers in chicago and new york city to prevent destabilization and unplanned hospitatlizations of adults with multiple chronice diseases; (ii) eugene washington pcori engagement award for research engagement and partnerships in reproductive and maternal health outcomes; (iii) disapear: interventions to de-implement unnecessary antibiotic prescribing for children with ear infections; (iv) engagement for research and evidence sharing to augment community health (e-reach); (v) hsii capacity building project; (vi) patients and caregivers' understanding of the serious risks of opioid analgesics and how to use these products safely: a patient/caregiver; (vii) illinois public health institute chicago cares to reduce diabetes disparaties and promote health equity; (viii) factors associated with vaccination uptake in diverse and underserved populations who receive primary care at federally qualified health centers: aretrospective cohort study; (ix) improving hpv vaccination rates in community health centers (x) intervention to reduce early (peanut) allergy in children (ireach); (xi) ahrq "inspire" intervention in small primary care practices to implement reduction in unhealthy alcohol use; (xii) investigating the relationship between problem list accuracy and attestation of review (real-list); (xiii) community intervention to reduce cardiovascular disease in chicago; (xiv) nih cardiovascular health trajectories from birth through adolescence in a diverser cohort of children; (xv) supporting transitions to primary care among under-resourced, postpartum women: the step-up; (xvi) chicago center for diabetes translation research (ccdtr) to examine the impact of telehealth on diabetes care management during the covid-19 pandemic; (xvii) nih "optimize" study optimizing patient navigation for perinatal care; (xviii) nih accelerating health equity and eliminating diabetes disparaties in community health centers (ahead-chc); (xix) nih promoting preconception care and diabetes self-management among reproductive aged women with diabetes; (xx) nih health brain and child development national consortium; (xxi) chicago department of public health adult cessation services; (xxii) understanding t1d and insulin-requiring diabetes in federally qualified health centers (fqhc): a national needs assessment; (xxiii) addressing health inequities related to food insecurity & obesity in chicago; (xxiv) support data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting of survey; (xxv) nih implementation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions to improve prep care continuum outcomes among women in community health clinics; (xxvi) improving maternal health through an adaptation of a two-generation postpartum care model in diverse settings, and (xxvii) nih lincc trial: linking inter-specialty newborn and contraception care.

Professional services and contract agreements to support clinical decision support tools for diabetes care, hypertension, contraception, postpartum depression, hiv, adult immunizations, hep-c, pediatric weight management, maternal morbidity, covid-19; leveraging vaccine uptake; examining the relationship between social risks and screening mammography; continuity and relationships among patients, physicians, and care teams; asthma assistance; cancer prevention and screening interventions; safety and healthcare epidemiology prevention research development; addressing homelessness, perinatal depression; advance population health management capabilities and performance metrics in quality improvement efforts.

Foundation & corporate grants relate largely to illinois contraception access now (ican!) programs to improve the quality of and access to contraceptive care regardless of an individual's ability to pay. Ican! Is a state wide initiative to advance reproductive health equity and to close the contraceptive care gap.
