Programs

Adult and continuing education programs: during fy 2024, programs in the school of continuing education enrolled a total of 29,341 students. The school of business executive education (formerly the management center and the international executive education institute) enrolled a total of 4,184 students. The engineering services program enrolled a total of 5,371 students.
Research and other sponsored activity programs: the office of sponsored programs reports that auc received grants and awards in the aggregate amount of $48,443,919 from outside sponsors during fy 2024 in support of research, training and public service projects. This includes 117 sponsored projects averaging over $414,050 per project. In addition to the many and varied faculty research projects, the university conducts research projects through a number of 12 research centers.
Other program servicesauxiliary enterprises (auc book store, press, transportation, and student housing): the auc press publishes annually up to 40 wide-ranging academic texts and general interest books on ancient and modern egypt and the middle east, as well as arabic literature in translation, for distribution worldwide, and maintains a backlist of more than 800 high-quality scholarly, literary, and general interest publications, including e-books. Through its bookstores and distributors in egypt and abroad, the auc press sold more than 161,000 books in fy 2024 and licenses foreign editions of arabic and other novels in 40 languages, including the works of the late egyptian nobel laureate naguib mahfouz. The student housing facilities accommodate auc students in two different locations: zamalek and the new cairo campus housing. During fy 2024, auc student resident facilities accomodated (640) students.
