Alaska Seeds of Change (Seeds) is a vocational program of Anchorage Community Mental Health Services Inc dba Alaska Behavioral Health (AKBH), a certified community behavioral healthcare center that aims to strengthen Alaska communities and improve the lives of its clients through exceptional behavioral healthcare. Seeds works with transition age youth (TAY) ages 14-24 to help them develop both the vocational and life skills needed to become successful adults. Youth learn essential workplace skills such as communication and professionalism, as well as attention to detail, data collection, kitchen etiquette, and farming skills in the context of both our indoor hydroponic farm and outdoor growing spaces all within a trauma-informed, supportive environment.
