Region: great bay in treasure beach, jamaicapurpose: relief after hurricane beryl outcome: funds were raised in order to first provide water and food for impacted residents who had lost homes, roofs, belongings. Those funds were carefully dispersed so this community was able to rebuild and return their lives to a more reasonable condition.

Region: bluefields bay, jamaicapurpose: funds were used to ensure that the public bluefields beach remains in place. Frequent storms would typically wash the sand entirely away leaving a totally rocky shore so that beachgoers were unable to access the sea with any level of comfortoutcome: the preservation of beach sand got accomplished by our constructing a large groyne out of gabion baskets filled with rocks to prevent the escape of that sand. This has been in large part quite successful thus far.
