Byte back's mission is to close the digital divide by providing historically excluded communities an equitable pathway into the digital economy.

Computer foundations - byte back taught two computer foundation level courses, assisting learners in gaining fundamental skills in technology. These digital literacy courses are designed for students with little to no computer experience, as well as for students interested in learning the microsoft office suite. In 2024, out of the 19 courses that were held, byte back had 130 students complete their computer foundation courses out of the 148 enrolled. These adults learned how to use a computer, the internet, email, word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook. Classes were offered in english and spanish and provided the training necessary for an entry-level office position and/or to search and apply for positions on the internet.
Certification - certification classes are free, industry-recognized courses that prepared students for a living-wage career that uses technology. The courses included comptia a+, comptia it fundamentals, and microsoft office specialist (mos). In 2024, byte back enrolled 30 students in 3 certification courses. Eighteen completed their cerification course.
