The center is the first non-profit animal welfare organization that focuses on influencing the conduct of corporations to forge a humane economic order. The center encourages corporations to embrace animal welfare as a core part of their commitment to social responsibility, by promoting reforms in purchasing practices, research and development programs, and other operations that recognize animal welfare imperatives.
