Business/resilience: c2es continued our collaboration with gold standard and center for green market activation as secretariat for the advanced and indirect mitigation (aim) platform, which is establishing innovative, high-integrity approaches to help companies account for and claim interventions that reduce ghg emissions across their value chains. C2es efforts leading up to cop28 helped lead to collective targets to triple renewable energy, double energy efficiency, and transition away from fossil fuels, among other agreements. C2es also continued to support the energy transition accelerator (eta), an initiative to accelerate a just clean energy transition in emerging and developing economies. C2es worked with founding partners (the u.s. Department of state, bezos earth fund, and the rockefeller foundation), the world bank, and winrock international to develop a framework, announced at cop28 and supported by leading companies, for how innovative high-integrity energy transition credits could leverage tens of billions of dollars in clean energy investments in host countries.
