The primary purpose of the center for health design is research and education in the field of healthcare design. Through research, education, community building, and technical assistance, the center supports healthcare and design professionals to improve the quality of healthcare through evidence-based building design.
Programs
2 programs
Medical design research, general/other: the center for health design has been actively engaged in initiating research to promote the use of evidence-based design to create healing environments in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities.
Education policy programs: the center for health design is an advocate for better healthcare buildings. Our quest to promote the use of evidence-based design to create healing environments in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities has lead us to create several healthcare design awards as well as a task force to change the building codes and standards.
