Mission
Empower individuals and families through education, safety and support, and lead our community to reduce the incidents and the effects of domestic abuse and dating violence.
Programs
3 programs
Empowerment: this team meets with adults who are not staying in shelter. They may have another safe place to go or are not ready to leave their abuser. Advocates offer safety planning, emotional support, goal setting, connections to resources, plus legal advocacy.
Our youth team works to end the cycle of abuse before it begins in young lives. For children who have witnessed domestic abuse or teens who have had an unhealthy dating relationship, our youth advocates provide 1-on-1 support to help them process trauma, develop healthy coping skills, learn how to stay safe, and build selfconfidence.
In 2024, christine ann moved into a larger building and we are now able to provide transitional housing services. Transitional housing consists of 11 fully furnished apartments. Rents are based on income, however if someone does not have an income they can still utilize the program. We have an advocate dedicated to the program who offers continuing support to clients.
