Homeownership promotion and preservation:we enable families to achieve, preserve, and sustain their dream of homeownership by offering free and low-cost housing counseling, financial education, and purchase assistance to homeowners in wyandotte county. During 2024, 482 customers were counseled and/or educated, and 106 families achieved or sustained homeownership.chwc provides loans to homeowners in the form of first mortgages, second mortgages, owner-occupied rehab loans, and deferred mortgages. During 2024, chwc provided ongoing loan servicing to over 30 homeowners and provided down-payment assistance to 23 new homeowners. Minor home repair assistance grants were provided to 30 area homeowners.

Community building and engagement:we work to improve the quality of life and build a sense of community for residents through the creation and support of community amenities. Chwc established the epic clay studio to provide opportunities for people to learn, enjoy, and share in the arts. Chwc has also partnered with the local government and community organizations to build local parks, gardens, and greenspaces.
