Community Empowerment Programs Provided health education with emphasis on chronic disease prevention and to encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Added telehealth in the face of pandemic challenges. Food insecurity was addressed with community partnerships, providing meals and groceries to individuals in need, living in marginalized and/or underrepresented communities.

Health Fairs Halth Tips reach over 4,500 viewers/readers monthly. Over 40,000 health messages delivered via health fairs, newsletter, documentary, and social media platforms, youth programming re alcohol and tobacco use. Diabetes, cardiovascular, hypertension programming. Distributed hypertension tool kits to African American women through a virtual program reaching beauticians who reached their clients. Our nurses also provided in-person education and blood pressure monitor training.
