Off main clinic provides methadone maintenance and detoxification services to adults with opioid use disorders. The clinic is state licensed for 285 treatment slots and accredited by the commission on the accreditation of rehabilitation facilities (carf). Methadone maintenance is a comprehensive treatment program that involves the long-term prescribing of methadone as an alternative to the opioid on which the patient was dependent. Central to the treatment is counseling, case management and other medical and psychosocial services. Methadone suppresses opioid withdrawal symptoms, reduces cravings for opioids, does not induce intoxication (i.e. Sedation or euphoria) and reduces the euphoric effects of other opioids such as fentanyl and heroin. Some patients receive buprenorphrine as an alternative to methadone. Patients also receive narcan for opioid overdose reversal, the clinic treated 391 individuals with 70,762 doses of medication and 322,898 minutes of counseling. The family service centers offer outpatient mental health services to people of all ages for emotional and mental illness. Treatment consists of brief, outcome-focused therapy using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, seeking safety and motivational interviewing. Services include assessment, individual, group and family counseling, case management and information and referral to ancillary services. Counseling addresses a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, domestic violence, child abuse, body image, gender identity, grief and loss. The programs are accredited by the commission on the accreditation of rehabilitation facilities (carf). An additional mental health program includes culturally specific outreach and engagement intended to connect underserved populations with mental health services. The center served 577 individuals with 309,954 units of counseling. The programs are funded by monterey county behavioral health (medi-cal and mental health services act funding), client fees, private grants, and donations.

Monterey peninsula and salinas valley street outreach programs provide trauma-informed counseling and street outreach services to youth ages 18 to 24 experiencing homelesness and their families on the monterey peninsula and in the salinas valley. Services include distribution of basic needs items such as food, clothing and hygiene products, assessment of needs, counseling and case management, housing navigation, linkages to income, employment and education, referral to health, mental health and substance use services, and information and referral to other community services. The programs served 130 individuals with 7,590 units of service. Programs are funded by housing and urban development (hud), california office of emergency services (cal-oes), monterey county behavioral health, private grants, and donations (monetary and in-kind).safe place monterey - youth shelter and navigation center provides an overnight shelter and day drop-in center for youth ages 18 to 24 experiencing homelessness. Youth have access to beds, food, clothing, showers, and laundry, as well as counseling, case management, housing navigation services and referrals to community services. It is funded by monterey county department of social services (community action partnership grant), a state homeless housing, assistance and prevention grant, private grants, and donations. The shelter served 39 individuals with 1,644 bed nights.safe place salinas - youth navigation center opened its doors in june 2024 to provide resources to youth, including counseling, case management, housing navigation services and rapid rehousing financial assistance. The center's initial funding came from a state homeless housing, assistance and prevention grant and donations.the outpatient treatment centers in salinas and monterey offer comprehensive subtance use disorder assessment, medical evaluation, individualized treatment planning, individual, group and family counseling, trauma and crisis counseling, relapse prevention and coping skills, discharge planning, and continuing care support groups to adults with substance use disorders. It allows individuals to receive treatment while continuing with daily living activities such as school or work. The centers are funded by monterey county behavioral health (medi-cal), client fees, and donations. The program served 824 individuals with 324,254 units of counseling.the daisy program (drug and alcohol intervention services for youth) provides substance abuse intervention and gang education to at-risk youth and their families utilizing the evidence-based curriculum "the seven challenges." it is funded by monterey county probation department (juvenile justice crime prevention act), monterey county behavioral health department (mental health services act), private grants, and donations. The program served 163 individuals with 2,913 units of counseling.safe passage is a 6-bed, co-ed transitional supportive housing program for youth ages 18 to 24 and youth aging out of the foster care system who are experiencing homelessness. The program provides ongoing assessment, life skills education, case management, housing navigation and rapid rehousing financial assistance aimed at providing youth with a solid foundation for transitioning to independent adulthood. It is funded by housing and urban development (hud), client rents, private grants, and donations. The program served 14 individuals with 1,745 days of service. The parent education program provides parenting education classes using the evidence-based curricula "nurturing parenting program and "connect parenting." it is funded by monterey county behavioral health (mental health services act), monterey county department of social services, private grants, and donations. The program served 152 individuals with 974 classes.the pathways to safety 2.0 program facilitates change in the foster care system and reduces foster care placements through early intervention with families reported for suspected child abuse where removing the children from home is not warranted but where the family is at high risk for future child protective services action. It is funded by monterey county department of social services, private grants and donations. The program served 72 individuals with 560 counseling units. The domestic violence program provides psycho-educational group counseling to self-referred and court-ordered individuals. It is funded by client fees, private grants, and donations. The program served 110 individuals with 1,524 counseling units.the supervised visitation program provides visitation and exchange services to self-referred and court-ordered non-custodial parents and their children in a home-like setting to foster health parent-child relationships. It is funded by client fees, private grants, and donations. The program served 88 individuals with 342 visiting hours.sober living programs are comprised of two sober living environments for men and women in early recovery from substance use disorders. Sonoma house is a 5-bed group home for women and elm house is an 8-bed group home for men. The programs provide a safe place for women and men to re-establish themselves in the community while maintaining their sobriety. It is funded by client rents, private grants, and donations. The program served 41 individuals with 4,267 days of service.substance use prevention program (supp) is a school-based counseling program for middle and high school students. The program aims to provide socio-emotional support to students and address and identify substance use and abuse issues. The program focuses on substance use prevention and education, including vaping, and anger management techniques. Services include individual and group counseling, consultation with parents/teachers/ school staff, presentations to students and parents, information and referrals to other community services, the youth alternatives to violence or yatv program for self-referred, suspended and/or expelled students, the alcohol and drug abuse prevention team (adapt), a student-centered approach to substance use prevention, and the evidence-based seven challenges drug intervention program. The program provided 1,606 individuals in salinas union high school district, king city union school district, santa rita union school district, south monterey county joint unified high school district and north monterey county unified school district with 9,067 units of service.casa de noche buena is a low-barrier shelter and navigation center for women and families with children experiencing homelessness. In addition to shelter, the program provides nutritious meals, case management, housing navigation services, rapid rehousing financial assistance, transportation, mail service, laundry facilities, access to computers/internet, employment assistance, academic support, linkages to health, mental health and substance use services, and information and referral to other community services, with the overarching goal of helping clients secure permanent housing. The program served 80 individuals with 7,514 bed nights.shuman hearthouse is also a low-barrier shelter and navigation center for women and families with children experiencing homelessness. In addition to shelter, the program provides nutritious meals, case management, housing navigation services, rapid rehousing financial assistance, transportation, mail service, laundry facilities, access to computers/internet, employment assistance, academic support, linkages to health, mental health and substance use services, and information and referral to other community services, with the overarching goal of helping clients secure permanent housing. In the 8 months that it was open the program served 70 individuals with 5,437 bed nights.
