Mission
The mission of the Cultural Heritage Center of Southwest Florida Inc. DBA Blanchard House Institute is to revitalize underinvested communities by preserving and promoting cultural heritage. Through education heritage tourism historic preservation and strategic public-private-philanthropic partnerships the Institute empowers communities to turn their unique stories and assets into opportunities for economic renewal and long-term prosperity.

Led planning contracting and coordination activities in 2024 for the relocation and restoration of the Jean Cleveland House a 1925 structure intended to serve as the Youth Museum & Cultural Heritage Center. Although the physical relocation took place in April 2025 all foundational work-including architectural plans logistics and government coordination-was completed in 2024. The project received support from the State of Florida and will play a key role in revitalizing Punta Gordas Historic Cochran Business District.
Expanded International CultureFest programming with events in Punta Gorda Jan and Oct Naples Feb and Cape Coral Apr drawing thousands of participants. Also hosted the 6th Annual Celtic Music Festival in Punta Gorda in May. These public festivals celebrate the regions cultural heritage promote tourism and build community engagement throughout Southwest Florida.
