Dear Black Girl Incorporated

In 2024, Dear Black Girl Incorporated achieved a 44% growth in program participation, furthering its mission to empower disenfranchised youth with a focus on Black girls. The organization expanded its offerings to include yoga and self-defense classes as part of the Heal to Hip Hop program, promoting mental and physical well-being for participants. All programs were provided free of charge, benefiting community members aged 3 to 60. The Girl Talk program, a healing-centered group therapy initiative, addressed mental health topics such as anxiety, self-doubt, and grief, creating safe spaces for Black and Brown girls to heal and grow. Additionally, the organization enhanced its outreach efforts through exposure to arts and physical movement, offering tools for holistic healing and personal development.
