Philanthropic funds: a portfolio of projects focused on supporting initiatives advancing the mission of digital harbor foundation, such as the creation of digital tools supporting social safety net access, the development of market shaping tools to advance public good, and building talent identification/development pathways.
Special projects: learning engineering virtual institute: drives collaboration across disciplines to double the rate of middle school math progress for students from low-income backgrounds. Provides leadership and quick access to high quality technical talent for software development in engineering roles. Americorps: provides opportunity for individuals to gain valuable experience through a variety of stipened volunteer work programs.
Project waves: a community-based internet service provider (isp) project waves works to bridge the digital divide by creating, advocating for, and implementing equitable solutions that connect and help individuals, families, and communities thrive through affordable home internet connectivity. Programs include both point-to-multipoint internet connectivity and fiber-backed residential service to multi-dwelling unit buildings and households in maryland.
Tech lab: a program that provides young people with hands-on experience with computers, 3-d printers, robotics in summer and after school programs. National science foundation grants: support developing a change for community recreation centers to become tech centers and offering opportunities for young people to experience stem activities.
