The mission of Dress for Success Oklahoma City is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

Programs

3 programs

Suiting Program ($121,954) and Career Center ($2,301). The Suiting program prepares clients for the interview process while the Career Center provides groups and individuals with tools to gain skills needed to enter the workforce and further their careers. Suiting costs include interview clothing and accessories, and resume assistance and mock interviews. Once employment is secured, additional apparel and accessories are provided. Suiting is also provided for internships and job training. There were 272 interview suitings and 151 employment suitings in 2024. The Career Center provides access to computers, printers, and Wi-Fi. Services include resume building and cover letter assistance, one-on-one mock interviews, job application and job search assistance, goal setting and career planning. The Career Center served approx. 120 women during 2024.

Expenses: $124K

Professional Womens Group (PWG) ($14,964) and Ride to Success ($6,514). The Professional Womens Group is an international networking association for employed Dress for Success women. Costs include monthly seminars designed for career advancement and personal growth. PWG also provides scholarships to deserving members and a program called SheWorks for women who have graduated through all offered programs, and are financially stable and ready to start their own business. The SheWorks program provides use of DFS office space and amenities, mentoring and start-up funding. Two clients were awarded scholarships and 5 clients launched small businesses in 2024. Ride to Success provides city bus passes and nominal gas cards to clients in need of transportation assistance for job interviews, attending Professional Womens Group activities and utilizing Career Center resources. Over 350 bus passes and 90 gas cards were provided in 2024.

Self-Care Soiree - A special one-day retreat designed to celebrate the hard work and dedication of clients in attaining new job goals and learning new personal and life skills. 80 women attended this event in 2024.
