Programs

Circulo de Bienestar Emocional: The Crculo de Bienestar Emocional has provided consistent, culturally affirming emotional support to Latino individuals and families seeking a safe space to share, heal, and grow. Throughout the year, the program offered weekly group sessions facilitated by bilingual mental health professionals and trained community leaders, focusing on topics such as stress, anxiety, grief, and self-care. With over 100 participants engaged, many of whom have limited access to traditional mental health services, the crculo has become a trusted space for reflection, mutual support, and community-building. Participants have reported increased emotional awareness, reduced isolation, and strengthened coping skills. By integrating cultural practices, collective dialogue, and holistic wellness strategies, the Crculo de Bienestar Emocionalcontinues to promote mental health equity and empower participants to care for themselves and their communities.

Raices Vivas: Over the past year, the Races Vivas program has made significant strides in supporting Latino youth and families in Boulder through a culturally grounded, prevention-based approach. We provided bilingual education, mentorship, and wellness services that promoted emotional well-being, healthy lifestyles, and community connection. Our programming reached over 200 youth and families in the last five months alone, including those from City of Boulder neighborhoods, offering substance use prevention, life skills development, and natural alternatives to high-risk behaviors. Activities such as healing circles, cultural storytelling, and outdoor experiences helped participants build resilience, deepen cultural pride, and strengthen intergenerational ties. Through partnerships with local schools and community organizations, Races Vivas continues to empower families by honoring their roots while cultivating future well-being.

This grassroots model not only increases health literacy and service utilization but also fosters trust, dignity, and empowerment within the community.
