Adult - civic engagement: in 2017, the leadership and community action committee (clac) (formerly known as the community leadership council) was formed to further el plueblos work by continuing the engagement and growth of adult community leaders, ensuring greater effectiveness and informing our decision making on capaigns, governance, and operations, clac members include new and veteran leaders, with varying levels of involvement within el pueblo and overall social justice work in 2022, 13 empowered latinx women worked together as part of our clac to distribute informaion and resources about covid - 19 vaccines and testing, and el pueblo programs in the surrounding community, to help empower voters, we used a variety of tools including our website votemosnc.com which serves as a hub for essential voter information. Through votemos nc we are also able to vreate 13 non-partisan voter guides in spanish (1 statewide and 12 county

Youth - civic engagement: through our 2022 fleeowship program, we were able to mobolize college students to civically engage their peers across the stat. Our fellows were on the ground registering voters, door knocking, tabling at events and providing important information on voting. All our youth civic engagement work is nonpartisan. In our efforts to civically engage youth in the midterm election year, we held events at universities and in schoolclubs, such as nc state, meredith. Unc-chapel hill, duke and saint augustine with great success during the general and primary elections, we made voters feel safe at the polls in chatham, wake and alamance counties. Our leaders and volunteers helped make safe sites fun and informative by providing snacks for voters, words of encouragement, and non-partisan voter guides.
