Education & workforce development - unidosus's education programs ensure all students in the united states have an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive by expanding access to early childhood education and college-readiness and career programs. By providing support and tailored resources, we seek to close the educational opportunity gap between latino students and their peers, leading to increased achievement and putting more students on the pathway to sustaining jobs and careers. Unidosus's workforce development programs ensure that jobseekers have access to jobs that pay family-sustaining wages and offer opportunities for career advancement while facilitating the entry of low-income workers into the labor market. We collaborate with unidosus affiliates, other community-based organizations, and corporate partners to provide in-demand skills, build the capacity of community-based workforce development organizations, and advocate for removing barriers in hiring practices.

Program 2

$10.6M

Policy & advocacy - unidosus's policy and advocacy component champions public policies promoting social and economic opportunities. It provides timely and reliable sources of latino-specific research on economic and housing issues, education, health, and immigration and engages in public education efforts with decision-makers and other stakeholders.
