Encore's mission is to improve the quality of life for older adults.

Programs

3 programs

Senior center programs:encore community services' older adult wellness programs offer essential supplemental and support services designed to help older new yorkers maintain their independence within the community. These programs provide access to arts, educational, and recreational activities, as well as vital social support through friendly visiting, telephone assurance, and case management assistance.additionally, both on-site and homebound seniors receive counseling in key areas such as nutrition, budgeting, health, and preventive care. By addressing these diverse needs, encore ensures older adults receive the resources necessary to live with dignity and security.

Mental health program:mental health program provides on-site counseling and an integrated system of supportive care for residents that are diagnosed with a mental illness in order to live successfully in the community. This program is supported primarily by a grant from the new york city department of health and mental hygiene.

Homeless program:homeless program provides onsite case management assistance for encore 49 residents referred from new york city shelters in order to acclimate them to community living and to prevent future homelessness. This program is supported primarily by a grant from the new york city department of homeless services.
