Mission
The California FCCLA is a Career Technical Student Education for secondary students enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences programs in grades 6-12. California FCCLA offers members opportunities for developing leadership skills exploring career paths interacting with school and community members and coordinating chapter programs. Today these skills are developed through FCCLA activities and the Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum.

The Youth Development Chapter Grant Program includes an allocation and reallocations to local California FCCLA chapters to facilitate and encourage increased membership and participation in California FCCLA leadership development and career training.
The Youth Development Regional Officer Training Conference is held in the summer for new regional and state officers. In addition to being trained by the California State Officers on FCCLA knowledge stage presence and Parliamentary Procedures the Region Officers developed their communication leadership and teamwork skills. Expenses include supplies meals travel lodging and speakers.
