Mission

The foundation for metrowest improves the quality of life in 30+ metrowest communities by providing financial and educational resources to local nonprofit organizations, sharing essential data about our region to inform decision making, and partnering with donors to help guide and align their giving with the areas of greatest need in the community.

Programs

2 programs

Action projects. We continue to focus on our deeper, more strategic community investments in the area of equity in education, workforce development, and our newest one launched in 2023 housing and homelessness prevention.

Youth in philanthropy. Each year, we run 10-12 youth in philanthropy programs across metrowest, that engages 200+ young people ages 12-18 in this experiential leadership program. Students learn about philanthropy and nonprofits, read real grant applications, conduct site visits, and support the foundation in determining where to grant funds within our community.
