Education: Kennedy Day School serves more than 60 students, ages 321, with complex medical, developmental, and physical needs. Located on the Franciscan Children's campus, the program combines specialized education with on-site therapeutic and health services, including speech, occupational, and physical therapy, assistive technology, music therapy, and psychology. With a 2:1 student-to-teacher ratio, 14 fully accessible classrooms, and individualized education programs (IEPs) developed in collaboration with families and school districts from over 35 Massachusetts communities, the school offers year-round, highly specialized instruction in a safe, medically supported setting. In FY24, Kennedy Day School provided 13,011 student days, underscoring its essential role in serving this high-need population.

Dental Services: Franciscan Children's provides comprehensive dental care for infants through young adults. The program offers preventive, restorative, and surgical treatmentsoften under nitrous oxide, sedation, or general anesthesiawithin a hospital-based setting equipped for medically fragile patients. This capability ensures safe, equitable access to essential oral health services for children who cannot be treated in standard dental offices. In FY24, the hospital performed 3,081 surgery cases and delivered 5,427 dental appointment visits, reflecting its critical role in meeting community needs. The program is fully integrated with the hospital's multidisciplinary care teams and also serves as a training site for pediatric dental residents in advanced anesthesia-based procedures.

Outpatient Services: Franciscan Children's Hospital provides a wide array of outpatient services, including medical care, mental health support, educational resources, and specialized treatments for children with special needs in eastern Massachusetts. In FY24, the hospital conducted 24,042 outpatient visits, encompassing clinical appointments, rehabilitation sessions, and behavioral health interventions. These outpatient services are critical in delivering ongoing care and support for children who require specialized attention but do not need inpatient admission. The extensive range of services offered ensures that each child receives tailored care, addressing their unique medical, psychological, and educational needs in a setting designed to support their overall well-beingand development.
