Mission

Global trauma research is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation, as of 2016. Gtr was incorporated under the nonprofit corporation laws of the state of ny for charitable purposes in 2014, to act as a multi-service social and educational organization. Mission statement: to help support people around the world affected by psychological trauma. Gtr hopes to help people create a secure and maintainable lifestyle by means of education, counseling, support, and integration of spirituality in health practices. Gtr believes in developing and implementing comprehensive services, and therefore researches innovative techniques.

Trauma project - providing culturally responsive trauma assessment and intervention training for underserved professionals and lay workers. Working with religious and community leaders, medical providers, and teachers to challenge stigmas associated with mental health, and build a comprehensive system of psycho-social support in underserved regions.
