Improving quality of life of residents and employees of the City of Houston, Texas by reducing juvenile crime and violence through relational policing, which builds trusting relationships between youth and law enforcement.

National Police Athletic League (PAL) Training and Conference: Sponsored 14 officers travel and per diem to attend PAL program compliance training.
Greater Houston PAL (GHPAL) was invited and participated in the 3rd Annual Detectives Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora Basketball Classic held in New York City, NY. GHPAL held tryouts and created a team that took 12 youth and 6 officers to take part in this multiple day tournament in Staten Island, NY and in NYC. In addition to playing in this tournament, the youth were taken on excursions once the tournament ended. These excursions included a tour of Yankee Stadium and a day trip to Philadelphia, PA. While in Philadelphia, PA, the group toured the grounds of Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and took a bus tour of the city.
Holiday Hangout - provided Christmas presents to overschool aged children.
