Mission

Golden crescent habitat for humanity, an affiliate of habitat for humanity international, started in victoria in 1994. Modeled after an old fashioned barn raising and using the biblical principle of not charging interest to a person in need, for over 25 years gchfh has been bringing donors and volunteers together to help our neighbors in need access safe, affordable housing. Gchfh funds the mission through private, public and corporate donations, special events and the restore.

Programs

1 program

The restore offers new and used home goods and building materials to the public at a reduced price. Most items are donated, enabling donors a method of disposal, other than the landfill. The restore has successfully diverted over 4000 tons from the landfill as well as raised enough money to fund 35 homes since inception for the mission of habitat.
