Auto innovation academy, electric vehicle seminar the seminar was a two-and-a-half-day policy academy in columbus, ohio from september 17-20, 2023 exclusively for state legislative leaders to learn about the fundamentals of electric vehicle policy and how to build a comprehensive state ecosystem for an electrified future. The ev seminar provided a balanced program covering a broad range of issues and featured some of the most important voices in the electrification arena. This face-to-face seminar enabled legislators to equip themselves with the information needed to tackle important developing policy issues, empower policymakers to share best practices and provide a forum for officials to ask all the important questions - including perhaps where do i even begin
Tax academy policy seminars in 2023, the institute held two tax academy policy seminars june 22-23, 2023 and november 17-18, 2023 in arlington, va and amelia island, fl, respectively as part of the institutes new initiative to educate state legislators about the intricacies of tax policy. As tax policy is an integral part of government because they not only influence behavior, they fund the government itself. And just as the 21st century has posed the challenges in other areas of government, states are now grappling with how to adapt their tax systems in the ever connected national and global economies. While much debate remains on what to tax and how to tax it, policymakers agree that our tax systems should not serve as an impediment to economic growth and the remittance and collection of taxes should be seamless for taxpayers.
