Safe families oklahoma works to keep children safe and families intact during times of crisis. Through a volunteer-based program, children are temporarily hosted in volunteers' homes to provide them with a safe place to stay while parents take time and space to get back on their feet. Sfo works to stabilize families in crisis, intervene to prevent child abuse and neglect before it occurs, and reduce the number of children entering foster care. Services are available in the oklahoma city and tulsa areas and expanding statewide.
The alliance paid work experience project helps northeast oklahoma city residents reach their career goals, while working to bridge the gap between available workers in oklahoma city and the need for skilled employees in high-demand industries. This program combines soft skills training, industry trainings, and workplace-based learning opportunities to support participants' advancing along a career pathway.
