The project is dedicated to bringing hope and help to the inner city of New Orleans through education, faith and the love of Jesus Christ.
Programs
7 programs
Community Outreach Events - Open to anyone who wishes to attend. Back 2 School is attended by over 500 people. Backpacks and school supplies are distributed to children. Cajun Thanksgiving provides holiday meals to the community. This includes a picnic open to the public and Thanksgiving baskets to families. Christmas Party and Toy Giveaway provides toys, gifts, and food baskets to low income families.
Jstep - our junior student training enrichment program is designed to raise indigenous leaders in the community. The program is open to students within the age range of 13-16 years old during the school year who show leadership potential.
Internship - the internship program provides ministry training and experience in an urban setting.
Summer and Winter Camp - nine weeks of free camp for inner-city children ranging in age from 5 to 12 years of age. Food including lunch, snack and take home food bag is provided for every camper. The program includes a very intensive leadership/mentoring program called JSTEP targeted at 13 to 18 year olds. Some STEM training in included in JSTEP. All children within age range are welcome. Special sports camps are also free. The program is staffed by volunteers and non-compensated summer interns.
Children & youth - assists children and youth who are in need with meals, transportation, and educational needs.
Food 4 families - provides hungry children and families with food, including meals, groceries and healthy snacks.
Senior Service and Care program - Provides bible study, outreach and fellowship to senior citizens.
