Technologya significant portion of kpts' mission is derived through the use of technology. Kpts began broadcasting on its new digital transmitter monday, february 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. A low power broadcast was added in the wichita area to improve reception in the southeast quadrant of the coverage area beginning november 10, 2013. A new microwave stl system was installed in fiscal year 2016. Server technology and automation upgrades were made in fiscal year 2018.
