Keep Growing Detroit

Education & capacity building keep growing detroit's educational programs provide hundreds of educational opportunities and one-on-one technical assistance sessions to the gardeners and farmers served in areas ranging from new garden development and basic gardening to farm business planning, season extension, and marketing produce. In 2024, there were 38 classes held reaching 759 individuals across the city.

Farm & market operations keep growing detroit has a farm in downtown detroit where the organization grows plants, hosts service projects and educational events, and grows produce for market and donation to local emergency food providers. Our grown in detroit program is based at the kgd farm. This program supported dozens of growers in gaining access to farmers' markets and other sales outlets. Together these growers contributed over 20,000 pounds of fresh, locally-grown produce to detroit's food system.

Detroit black farmer land fund dbflf has mission to rebuild inter-generational land ownership for black farmers in detroit. This fund is now administered by detroit black community food security network. Keep growing detroit transfered all accumulated assets to them in 2024.
