Lantuun Dohio

Lantuun dohio mongolia is a program that focuses on educating youth and raises awareness about human trafficking and child abuse in mongolia. Since 2013, it has had series of short and long-term initiatives, including publishing series of children's comic books, joining the "open your eyes" campaign, and organizing and delivering of the annual "magic bag" project. Lantuun dohio publishes children's books to educate young children about the hidden dangers of social media and the potential crime of human trafficing. In 2018-2024, lantuun dohio joined the national movement "open your eyes", which was to raise awareness of sexual abuse of the most vulnerable age group , minors. In the annual "magic bag" campaign, we deliver gifts to thousands of children during the holiday season in the outskirts of the capital city of mongolia, where the low income families are concentrated. While delivering holiday gifts, we conducts key research on the living conditions of young children in this under-privileged communities and the root causes of their vulnerability. This research can help inform a deeper understanding of the issues and identify children who live at higher risk of neglect, abuse, lack of supervision and harmful environment.

Lantuun dohio's children and family wellbeing program (prevention and intervention) is designed to serve the mongolian community in the usa, with the initial target of dmv (dc, maryland, va) area. The program aims to support the community to combat domestic violence and child abuse by organizing culturally tailored workshops for children and adults, raising awareness by translating and disseminating informative materials from reputable resources, such as the national center for missing and exploited children (ncmec), arlington's project peace initiatives, and others. In 2024 alone, we directly served 45 children aged 11 to 17, and indirectly supported 50 additional children through our child online safety. Through our askable adult training programs, we trained 54 adults and families. Our in-person training session, which also aired live on our facebook page gathered around 8,800 unique views. Our program has expanded beyond our initial goal and has influenced the global platform for child exploitation at the ncmec to further pursue and translate the child online safety program into french and spanish for distribution on their platform.
