Affordable development projects via cdc purchases, renovates, and builds commercial and residential properties to stabilize the neighborhood, create a catalytic impact, and spur additional investments. In addition to transforming vacant, blighted, and/or foreclosed properties into turnkey homes for owner-occupants and rent-to-own opportunities for families or businesses, via also develops new construction of single-family housing on vacant lots. Buildings that support people are essential to a good quality of life in any community.

Community building and leadership development - this program cultivates grassroots community leaders and connects them to one another to sustain a strong, healthy neighborhood. Via cdc fosters opportunities for neighbors as both decision-makers and active participants in neighborhood change and continuous improvement of the quality of life in the community.

Expenses: $243K

Housing outreach - this program builds on the strengths of neighborhood pride and the charm of our historicbut aginghousing stock. To better understand community needs and opportunities, we regularly conduct housing surveys that help us monitor conditions, stay connected with neighbors, and identify what resources they may be eligible for.
