To provide charitable, educational and research support for individuals and the medical profession in the areas of diabetes, as well as various other hearing and vision related diseases.

The lion's eye bank of lexington is responsible for procuring and placing human eye tissue for transplantation. The lions eye bank of lexington advances ophthalmic research and training to better servce the local, state, national and international community. Policies and procedures will follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the eye bank association of america and the food & drug administration. The lions eye bank of lexington collaborates with the trust in the state of kentucky for the citizens of the commonwealth and promotes awareness for eye, tissue and organ donation.

Visually impaired preschool services, inc. (vips) offers appropriate services to families of infants and toddlers with visual impairments to maximize each child's developmental potential through direct services, advocacy and community education. Vips is the only private, non-profit agency dedicated to meeting the needs of blind or visually impaired infants, toddlers and their families.
