Programs

Laeps early childhood family engagement program builds school readiness in children ages to 5, their families and neighboring schools. Approximately 219 children participated in the program in 2023-2024, with parents. This program fosters catalytic change by working with families and leading community initiatives that improve early childhood systems and access to resources. The early headstart programs enrich parental skills starting with prenatal development, and empower parents to be early childhood and educational advocates. Laep offers childcare, home visits, social and health services, prenatal education and support.

Expenses: $4.3M

Laeps ready2teach program had its first cohort of 36 participants. The ready2teach program reduces barriers to entry to the early childhood workforce as well as supports partner family childcare homes and early childcare centers. Participants in the year-long program engage in coursework, paid apprenticeships, and training - all at no cost to them. Partner childcare providers will receive an intern as well as business coaching.
