Collections support: funding and services provided by the lmf helped make possible the following collections projects:for general collections: the lmf continues to facilitate the louisiana state museum deaccessioning project.

Exhibitions support: funding and services provided by the lmf helped make possible the following major exhibitions:at the cabildo (jackson square new orleans): (1) hunt slonem | a retrospective celebrated fifty years of hunt slonem's artistry in louisiana, exploring his work in local collections through the lens of his career and influences. Loans were from louisiana based collectors. This exhibition was on view on the cabildo's third floor from november 21, 2023 through october 2024. The lmf hosted the exhibition opening in november 2023, with artist hunt slonem in attendance. (2) botanica: gardens, landscapes and plant medicines in south louisiana was supported in part by a grant from louisiana endowment for the humanities (leh) secured by lmf for this exhibition which explores the cultural meaning of louisiana medicinal plants and how historically based understandings of them are evolving under the threat of climate change and land loss. This exhibition opened in april 2024 and will be on view on the cabildo's first floor through march 2026. (3) installation of new permanent lighting fixtures in cabildo's third floor main gallery: the lmf secured two capital grants from ella west freeman foundation and selley foundation to install all new state of the art lighting fixtures in the main gallery of the cabildo's third floor. This install was phase 1, and the lmf will continue to seek funding for the 2nd and 3rd gallery.at the louisiana civil rights museum (new orleans): lmf contributed a matching grant of $25,000, in addition to securing $25,000 from st. Augustine high school to sponsor the new louisiana civil rights museum's inaugural experience, the new museum housed in the ernest n. Morial convention center is dedicated to telling the stories of louisiana's civil rights heroes and how they transformed the state into a center for the national civil rights movement.at the presbytere (new orleans): to be a star: the carnival costumes designs of san nicholas - the lmf helped plan and implement a fundraising effort for this exhibition which opened february 2, 2024 and will be on view in the 2nd floor mardi gras gallery through december 2025, celebrating the career of san nicholas, who designed costumes for the krewe of endymion, the zulu social aid and pleasure club, the krewe of orpheus, and the krewe of aquila. The lmf hosted a very special performance of "san the musical" at le petit theatre in conjunction with the exhibition opening on february 1, 2024.at the capital parks museum (baton rouge): (1) lmf helped administer a grant from louisiana endowment for the humanities (leh), a 2023 rebirth grant on behalf of the capitol park museum in baton rouge in support of the project immrzyon kouri-vini: aprenn avk mitoloji (kouri-vini immersion: learn with mythologies). (2) the lmf managed donation for "mavis: one simple sentence" an exhibition based on the 1921 louisiana lawmakers ban of french in the classroom, and ms. Mavis fruges mission to revive the language stolen from her community.
