Improve the quality and delivery of health care:mssc physician leadership alliance strives to improve the quality and delivery of health care by providing continuing education opportunities for the physician members of the medical society of sedgwick county.continuing medical education programming focuses on varied aspects of practice and delivery of care including, but not limited to:collaborative functions, relationship development, conflict management, skillfull communication, adaptability, motivation of self and others, strategic perspective, critical appraisal skills, accountability, business knowledge, and knowledge of the health care environment.

Develop emerging physician leaders:the mssc physician leadership alliance administers the dr. Joe meek young physician leadership award.the joe meek award is given annually to recognize and encourage young physician leaders in wichita/sedgwick county by financially supporting thir participation in local, state, and national leadership activities.the award is intended to foster leadership and develop future medical society of sedgwick county leaders. For young physicians the award provides the opportunity to augment their leadership potential and the financial support to participate in leadership activities of their choice.
