To promote and encourage independence for all people with disabilities.
Programs
3 programs
Skills - work with students to transition them from high school to being on their own as adults, helping consumers get the training they might need on resumes, including job interview questions, and helping consumers who cannot manage money by themselves.
Community education & outreach - educating the community on disability issues, training people on person centered plans (pcp) so they can facilitate a pcp with consumers, and finding help for people through an information and referral program.
Other accomplishments consist of outreach efforts to inform people with disabilities of resources available to enhance or increase independence, including but not limited to addressing social isolation, technology barriers, and emergency needs related to covid-19.
