Mission

The organization's mission is to provide specialized supportive services to our nation's combat wounded heroes and gold star families.

Programs

3 programs

Transportation 4 heroes: military warriors support foundation awards payment-free vehicles to combat wounded heroes and gold star families from all american conflicts. The vehicles are for families who have severe and/or unique circumstances due to their injuries received while serving our country. In addition to the home, the families will receive 1 year of family and financial mentoring.

Expenses: $1.4MGrants: $596K

Skills 4 life: this is a program that is an outdoor recreation program offering activities such as golf, hunting, fishing and family getaways. This program is available to combat wounded heroes, gold star spouses, as well as gold star children. This program not only offers access to enjoy the outdoors, but also provides peer-to-peer mentoring opportunities.

Expenses: $1.4MGrants: $451K

Leadership lives here: the organization receives donated homes and renovates the properties in preparation for sale. Once ready to be sold, there is an exclusive "veterans first opportunity" (vfo) to active and retired military in which they have the opportunity to purchase the home. The vfo provides post purchase incentives that encourages pride in home ownership along with reinvestment into the property and community. Net proceeds from the sale of each property are reinvested into mwsf programs designed to support veterans in transition to civilian life.
